Monoaxial charge accelerometers

Charge Output Accelerometers output a charge in pC/g proportional to the force applied to the piezoelectric material. This type of accelerometer is able to withstand higher temperatures than IEPE vibration sensors, are generally more robust, and lower in cost.

A charge amplifier is required with charge output vibration sensors to convert the charge output into a useable signal. Cable choice is of critical importance when choosing a charge output accelerometer - the charge outputs from these accelerometers is sensitive to cable type and length.
